Corona Virus Update

Many of our current patients are worried regarding their risk of Coronavirus infection
Social distancing and isolation are the best protection regardless of your cancer status
If you are well now and taking tablets only(tamxoifen, anastrozole, letrozole, toremifene or exemestane ) your risk of Corona Virus is NO HIGHER than anyone else
if you are on chemotherapy or Herceptin ,or have finished within the last 4 weeks, you need to isolate.
You should not go to work, go shopping or take others out. As usual, please attend hospital if your temp is >38 C. Hospitals are taking great care of sick cancer patients and you should not hesitate to attend
Local radiation therapy for breast cancer, targeting the area where the breast cancer was found, does not have a major impact on the immune system.
